Boho-Inspired Mountain Wedding

I can’t even begin to tell you how long I had been counting the days until Blake & Berlyn’s mountain getaway wedding celebration. Tucked back into the high mountain ranges of the Cascades with breathtaking lake views, wildflowers and abundance of fresh air, this sweet couple said their forever vows in the most incredible private ceremony overlooking Mother Nature’s most treasured wilderness.

Let’s not even pretend the night ended there. If you know the Bales’s family, you know they have a talent for throwing a party. Following the ceremony, the bride & groom made a once-in-a-lifetime grand entrance greeted by 100’s of friends and family in the beautiful wildflower meadows of Easton, Washington. I don’t doubt this evening they doubled the population of this tiny mountain town and caused a few lake waves with the sweet tunes of 80’s rock’n roll by Chrome Molly. Throw in food trucks, ice cream carts, beer on tap, photo booths and miles of tents filled with incredible hearts all ready to ring in the new Mr. & Mrs. in style. And they insist . . . . . stay all night, sleep in and hit the food trucks again for breakfast.

So many beautiful elements made this an unforgettable wedding event and what I think is one the most remarkable aspects ~ the vendors. Typically, I would be making a list of professional wedding vendors to credit, but most of the details were done by family and friends of the bride & groom. How amazing to have so many elements handled with love and care by some of your favorite people. I also secretly hope I’m counted in the friends category, because these are the good people. From the first day I met with Berlyn to chat about her wedding, she immediately started talking about the wildflowers and garden grown florals that would be the center of the decor for the day. When I say the details were works of love for Blake & Berlyn, the flowers were no exception. A lifelong best friend of the bride’s mother grew the flowers in her back yard and with help from her daughters created spectacular masterpieces to enjoy, including a stunning wedding arbor and tambourine ceremony bouquets. The reception wildflowers were picked in meadows surrounding the cabin and arranged by family and friends the evening before. It’s easy to say, each element was created out of love and thoughtfulness for Blake & Berlyn.

Blake & Berlyn ~ Thank you for allowing me the honor of capturing this special day. I wish you all the very best this life has to give. You are definitely deserving! Your kind spirits, beautiful souls and love of this life make me so happy you have found each other. Cheers to happily ever after! ~ shana
