Elegant Oregon Farmstyle Wedding

A Friday dream wedding nestled in the wheat fields of the Groom’s family farm is the perfect way to spend any day. A year in the making and a lifetime in the future, Taber & Ashley, along with their closest family and friends, celebrated their stunning wedding day at their 150 year old home, a masterpiece in its own right ~ I can only image the stories it could tell. One year ago, I met with this beautiful couple to capture their in-home engagement session as they began the process of bringing this home back to its original glory . . . . along with some modern day privileges. Piece by piece with the work their hands and lended hands, this house is becoming the home of the new Mr. & Mrs. Tompkins and history continues through the generations to come. From the Groom’s request, we first captured our rendition of Grant Wood’s American Gothic artwork at their engagement session and created the next in the series on their wedding day. I have vowed to capture this image throughout the stages of their life and I can’t even hide my excitement to see how the scene changes from structure to family.

What sweeter story is that of a western wheat farmer marrying is college sweetheart, a local agriculture teacher on a gorgeous June day? Nothing, I suppose. Taber & Ashley are the living love story of Eastern Oregon and I couldn’t be happier for this hometown couple. Thank you for allowing me the pleasure of photographing this special day.
