I think I’ve made it pretty well known that Joseph, Ore. and Wallowa Lake are pretty much my favorite places on earth. So, when Lois contacted me about being her wedding photographer for her Joseph, Ore. wedding, I had to put a lot of effort into appearing cool and calm, while inside I was jumping up and down like a little kid with excitement!
I was so thankful to have had the opportunity to get to know Lois well during the planning process, but in crazy wedding fashion, I first met Justin while stopping by the venue during rehearsal and set-up. I have to admit, when I introduced myself, I felt like I had know him just as long as I had known Lois. I can attribute that to her unwavering love for him, the way her face lit up with the mention of his name and how kindly she spoke of him always. And it turns out this wildland firefighter has just the same softhearted and kindness she described so perfectly to me.
There was no better fitting place on earth for these to share their vows during a Memorial Day weekend of love and celebration. Congratulations, Justin & Lois! I can’t wait to see all the beautiful memories you will make together over the years.
Lots of love ~ shana
